Cheers to 2014!

Monday, December 30, 2013

Happy last Monday of 2013! For Christmas I got myself a Silhouette Portrait (insert some sort of squeal here)! I didn't open it until Christmas afternoon and didn't play around with it until Friday (I worked Thursday and wanted the dedicated time to focus on my new toy). Right away I understood the infatuation everyone has with Silhouette! I have already used it to make a few cards and my New Years wreath!

Make your own New Years Wreath!

I reused the wrapped wreath form from my glamorous winter wreath, added gold glittery coiled floral picks (from Hobby Lobby) and cut out "cheers to 2014" on glitter paper with my Silhouette!

If you don't have a die-cut machine, you could use glittery foam scrapbooking letters!

I attached the words with a small dab of hot glue.

For cheers I used KG Always A Good Time font (free download here) and paired it with KG Second Chances Solid (download here) for to 2014

Love this glam 2014 New Years wreath!

Cheers to 2014!

  1. I was wondering what I could make for New Year. Your wreath is so pretty, the blue and gold are gorgeous. I have one of those kind of wreaths so just might be seeing what I can come up with for it. I have some wood blocks I'm going to paint and put 2014 on. Think I might just use the blue and gold color scheme if I have the paint. Great project. Wish I had a silhouette but the cost is just way over our budget. Glad for you to have one, happy you are getting to enjoy it already. Wishing you a Happy, healthy New Year

  7. I love this wreath! I always feel that New Year's decor should be elegant, classic, and glittery (of course)! I have the Cricut but with my new font obsession I have my eye on the Silhouette. :) Pinning this post! :)
